Needed: SBF timing pointer
Does anyone have a cheap SBF timing pointer that they'd like to get rid of? I need one and the only ones I can find right now are $50 billet pointers or pointers on Ebay that cost $20 to ship them.
I want one that uses two timing cover bolts to secure it.
I'll be happy to pay and I'd rather give my money to a CC member.

?
Why not just make one out of a pc. of .060" aluminum? Cut larger than needed, punch out two bolt holes, bend 90*, and trim to where TDC mark is.

I have one I will give you. email ron621@msn.com or call 318-343-7158. It is from a 95 Mustang Cobra and bolts to the timing cover on the passenger side with 2 bolts. I am in Louisiana. Ronald Johnson

Guys, let me check and see which side I need. I was thinking I needed a driver's side pointer. My balancer has several sets of timing marks, so I'll have to bird dog that a little bit.
Ronald, I'll let you know. I appreciate the offer.

You will need one for the opposite side of where the water pump inlet is...

Scott, thanks. I figured that one out last night. I haven't assembled a SBF in awhile, couldn't remember the details. It looks like I'm a "10:00 TDC".

There are also pointers with the "0" at 10, and others at 11 O'clock. It all depends on what damper you have. Most all the aftermarket timing pointers are expensive. A stock one usually sells at a dealer for around $15.00 or so.
