Priming a 351 Windsor
Never primed a Windsor before. Purchased a Windsor priming tool. Will the entire system prime including remote filter and cooler just by spinning the tool up with a drill motor? Will the crank need to be rotated or anything else?

Yes, it will. I like to rotate the engine with a ratchet while the pump is spinning. Not sure if you really need to, but it makes me feel better.

It will preload the entire system and tell you where any pressure leaks are.
As I recall, it is reverse of the drill drive or counter clock wise.
If you used the correct pastes and sticky stuff, you may want to wait on turning over the engine until you are ready to start it and leave the protection in place.
Just my opinion.

Yes, turn the drill CCW. If you have a HV pump, you'll need a healthy drill. Don't use a battery powered drill motor, it will burn it up.
I usually pull the valve covers off and turn until the oil comes out of the pushrods. Sometimes, you need to turn the engine over a couple turns while priming to get oil to come out of all the pushrods.
Also, if you're running hydraulic roller lifters, it takes quite awhile for them to fill up and then push oil through the pushrods.

I've done mine quite a few times like blykins. My usual method is to spin the pump up to pressure for a few seconds, turn the crank 1/4 of a turn, spin up the pressure again and repeat that sequence until oil comes out of all the pushrods. This way there is no doubt that all the oil galleys are filled and you'll have instant oil pressure at start-up. BTW, I use a 1/4" deep-well socket on a 1/4" extension chucked into a 1/2" drill to do the duties. I've even used a speed handle on the same set-up and gotten decent pressure. Lots more work though.

oil pressure
make sure you have the oil filter on and all the oil plugs in. You can shoot oil two feet from the motor. Ask me how I know.

Thanks for the help guys. The motor was run in on a dyno but has not run in the car yet. With the addition of lines and a cooler I wanted to make sure the entire system was primed before setting her off again.

Make sure you plumb the lines up in the right way...I've heard of a lot of guys getting them backwards and causing problems.
