Standard rotation Ford water pump

I am not using a heater. Weber dual outlet intake manifold, no by pass to the water pump. Does it matter which outlet for the heater hoses gets connected to the expansion tank? Currently the upper outlet is pluged and the lower outlet is connected to the expansion tank.

That's the way mine is too. I still want to design and incorporate a legitimate bypass to help maintain temps and effect quick warmup.
