This is the cam I would use for your specs. This is a retrofit cam for engines that did not come with roller lifters, but are being retrofitted with link type or the spider and dogbone roller lifters.

With this cam I would use the Edelbrock Vic. Jr. heads, which come with springs good for .650 lift, guideplates, and studs for rockers. These heads flow as well as just about any other head you'll find for a bit less money than the AFR. Also, I've always heard the AFR heads have crappy springs which would need to be changed to better, higher lift springs, which also push the price up.
A Vic. JR. intake or Edelbrock Airgap and some good flowing headers and sidepipes and you should reach your 500 hp goal.
