Hope to see all the great FFR's, SPF's, ERA's, KMP's, Contemporaries, etc. in person. Contact me so we can schedule a stop. Many dates are flexible. Suggested stops welcome.

Nov 15 Stop at Sergios in Alpine
dinner with some SoCal people in El Cajon

Nov 16 Breakfast with Barry Mattingly and Bob Zook in Carlsbad. Nice roadtse run along 101 for a few miles and around Carlsbad where I live in ther 50's.

Then on the the Bat Cave to say "Hello" to the famous Jeff Miller; say his cave where the secret body and paint work is done.

Then on to Costa Mesa over the Ortega Highway (pulling a trailer over that was a stress on the Explorer) to see Hillbank Motors who were very gracious concerning hte Serpent Express.

Stayed overnight in San Bernardino, the off to NorCal on Wednesday morning.

Sorry the SoCal visit was so short. Next time we stay longer so we can see more people and beautiful scenery.

Thanks for the hospitality!

Randy,
Nice to hear from you. We did have a nice trip. We logged 4437 miles and we could have gone to MN and back to OR within those miles!

We set up distribution points in SoCal and UT on this trip. So, starting in 2005 the Serpent Express can be offered into more markets.

Hope your health and business are good.

Merry Christmas.

Larry

Question Question about Coupe

Will the trailer and top work with an FFR Coupe or Spyder GT?

Dear Big_texan,

Thank you for the question on the Serpent Express (SE).

The dimensions of the Coupe from the FFR web site are:
Wheelbase 95 in.
Track (Front/Rear) 59 in./ 58.5 in.
Overall Length 174 in.
Overall Width 73.5 in.
Overall Height 48 in.
Ground Clearance 4.5 in.
Dry Weight 2110 lbs.
Weight Distribution F/R 44.9/55.1 (%)
Fuel Capacity 15.0 gal
Oil Capacity 6.0 qt.

The Sypder GT is the same length as the coupe as far as we know.

The standard SE-14 has a 168" deck, 6" too short for the Type 65 Coupe.

We would offer an SE-16BT that has 192" deck length.

It would have straight axles with a "beaver tail" and rear stowed ramps. Slightly taller and heavier by 125 lbs or so.

Can get a Mustang or a Camero in the SE-16BT, so you have more flexibility.

A 55-57 Chev is 16' 7" long so we would have to go to a SE-18BT for that car.

Hope this helps.

Do you have either the Coupe or the Spyder?
