Braggin
Hi Gang,
Yesterday we entered our '57 T-Bird into a local car show to try and sell it. We also entered our Cobra in order to promote SOCO.
There were about 200 mostly street rods entered and there were many absolutely gorgeous high-dollar cars.
I got lots of offers for the "Bird" and quite a few people took the flyer promoting SOCO.
Also found out there are several Cobras in the Grants Pass area that might be interested in joining our little informal group.
Would you believe that our Cobra won the trophy for the "Best Looking Topless Cruiser?"
Just had to brag.
Ivan

Ivan:
Congrats on the "Topless" win. Hope your other half understands that it was the car.
It's surprising how many of these roadsters are around. Within a 5 mile radius of my house there are four others besides mine.

Hey Don,
What made the "Topless" category even more interesting was when the owner of a local strip joint came over to the car to say hello. (I know him from another life)
He had several gorgeous ladies from his club in tow and with the weather being warm, they had on just enough clothes to keep it a family show (They all wore cowboy hats to be proper )
As we stood around and discussed world events, it's amazing how many people in the show came over to "check out" my Cobra.
By the way, Don...In just one small meeting, we have picked up a total of 11 local Cobras and one GT-40 whose owners requested to be listed in our contact directory.
After the Medford Poker run, Pat wants to get together to plan a day trip out into the hinterlands of Oregon so we can stretch our "Legs" and see the scenery.
Most of our group's correspondence is done through the directory but this run will be posted on the SOCO forum for those not listed in the directory.
Thanks for saying hello...
Regards, Ivan

Ivan:
Not so much for this season but for next there's a two day run by an independant group up here that may interest you folks. I'll bring the information with me when I come down to Medford and you can look it over.

Hi DonC,
It was a kick doing the poker run with you and Steve. It was a little weird blasting thru Ashland and Jacksonville without stopping for trinkets.
SteveC had low hand for a while but eventually lost. However, he did win a trophy at the Show n Shine.
Is the two-day run you mentioned the same one on the flyer you gave me for August or is there another run for next season?
Ivan

Ivan:
Here is the link to the Bay Area Cobra Club events page. Keep an eye on the Snakes to the Lake link for when it comes up active.
A pleasure meeting you and Steve at the Medford cruise and thanks to Steve for the native guide tour on the poker run.

Hi DonC,
I'll post your link for the members in the SOCO directory.
By the way...You mentioned a run next year...Is it this one or another?
Regards,
Ivan
