I use 3.75 x .375" bolts with wingnuts on mine. Be sure and put a spacer such as a nut inbetween the top and the ferell on the car. The rubber seal should just sit on the car not crush flat. Also put masking tape or something under the rubber seal to keep it from scratching the paint.

painters blue tape also works as a deck protector - trim to not let the tape show if concerned about appearance . also, thin foam rubber type material works too to protect the paint from hardtop seal or soft top where the lift-a-dots are . Bill

I have been running the SPF hardtop for several years, and will take photos of my setup if you need to see them.

First question...
Is it a SPF factory hardtop?

Secondly, if so, has it already been fitted to your car by a SPF dealer?

These are 2 important points we will need to know to be able to help you with your setup. The SPF hardtop "initial" install is best done by a dealer who has done it before. If not, I can help walk you through the setup process.
