Default New superformance roller questions

Guys: I'm in the process of putting together a new Superformance roller and have a couple of questions:

1. What size is battery will fit the battery compartment? What group number is it?

2. I need the clutch slave cylinder, push rod and bracket to mount the slave cylinder on a 351W QuickTime bellhousing / TKO 600 trans set up. Who are you using for these 3 parts? Who can I buy them from and what parts or part numbers should I ask for?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or advice here.

-Tim

Tim,

Here's a thread regarding a battery for your SPF.

Superformance Battery Replacement

Not sure about the clutch slave. Did you buy a complete "install' kit? For some reason, I thought that the slave parts came with the trans/install kit.

Tim,
The battery information is on my Wiring Diagram. Did I mention that there will be a test 30 days after you purchased your copy?
I personally like the way the Interstate 58R fits.
Also, here is a neat trick:
At Sears, they have a generic expandable plastic battery hold-down. It's made to span the battery's short dimension, which is how batteries are usually secured. If you cut the "handle" sections off and use just the 2 end sections, they slip perfectly over the 2 cover mounting rods and they sit on the edges of the battery as if they were made for the car.
A little experimenting with those plastic nylon spacers from a hardware store (for the proper length) and the ferrules that secure the battery cover on also clamp tight up against the new battery mounting pieces you made and you are in business...Maybe a $3.00 project...and 15 mins.
Here is a photo of the work in progress, before I cleaned up the clip and added the nylon spacers..

Thank you Blas. Don't know why I didn't look at your wiring sheet! Man that thing is great! Clearly the most comprehensive and detailed wiring diagram ever made for a Superformance--not to mention wall chart size too!!

Give Fortes a call. They have a well engineered slave cylinder and bracket. It uses a CNC brand slave and they have a modified release arm to complete the package. It is aligned very well and it is the best solution I have used in my installs.

I have a bracket and slave cylinder that will work perfect with your set up. check out my store at http://www.gcperf.com/gcpcstore.html I have used this setup quite a few times with SPF. It will work with any quicktime bellhousing using a TKO transmission.
