Riverside Racers FIA/289...AWESOME!
"Here are some of the most awesome detailed shots of what I consider the most accurate replica of an FIA/289 I have ever seen. Ross Henry of Riverside Racers is doing it right. I have never met Ross but only through the internet but you can check his company out on the web. Enjoy the pics, I sure have. Check out the transverse leaf spring up front and the round tubing. It's all unreal. Makes all the other FIA replicas take notice. The bar has been raised to a higher level folks."
I am quite sure Ross will jump in here and offer more details on his new venture.

Very nice looking roadster, but doesn't that exhaust under the car cut down substantially on the clearance? Is that how the originals were done?

Yes,
The 289 race cars were done that way. There is more clearance than you might expect particularly if you don't "put it down in the weeds" for the street.
Ross has put several years into this project and has taken no shortcuts, the car could have been done two years ago but wouldn't be what it is now. I am proud to represent him and carry the product.
Carlisle should be really neat!

The car looks absolutely FANTASTIC! I wish you guys all the best.
Wish I could afford to put a second Cobra in my garage...this would be the one.

If only I could...
I'm in love with this car, if only I could afford one, it would be my last one. Totally awesome. This is my all time favorite body style, graceful yet racy with plenty Testosterone.
I owned a Unique FIA replica but sold it to a Dr from NJ. Loved the body style. Regret selling it. This Riverside Racer would make it all okay though.

Ross
Kudos! Great design and the car will certainly be a success. I have been saying for some time there is room for an accurate 289.....

Very cool FIA and I agree we really need someone to build one that has the original suspension etc. Checked out their website don't really see any pricing so I assume they are just displaying their first 2 cars and will start building in the future. Almost bought FIA a month or so ago so would be cool if they had a couple rollers near completion.

Juan,
You are talking to a confirmed Luddite! I will be embedded tonight after 10 PM and a bottle of wine, if that is what you mean....if not, please "embed" said video as you see fit.

Bill,
Projected, yes!
Real, sadly not yet. A costing is going on in SA and I am sure that Ross will not live long enough to see any return on his investment beyond the smile that we will never get off his face. It will make for a very strange wake...........

WOW....She's stunning. I like the brake ducts but the exhaust looks a bit low to me. Very, very nice.

Apologies for taking so long to reply. Just been pointed out to me
The pics showing the exhaust are of the prototype/mule.If you look through the pics you`ll find the correct one being made.I will post pics of new style once I have fitted the motor.
Thanks for your remarks
Ross
