T56 question
I'm getting very close to buying a new SPF and, thanks to those of you who replied to my earlier questions, I'm installing the engine myself. I'm thinking that the t56 (2.66 first) Magnum is right for what I'm looking for. Does anyone know if Superformance offers the right trans mounting location, etc. for this transmission with a 351W-based engine? If not - any recommendations for where to get the right adapter? Any other advice on installing this setup?
thx, mattpatt |
I may be mistaken, but I believe they have the same trans mount distance as the 5 speed. In the Coupe they have a different length driveshaft, but the mount is in the same spot.

Hi mattpatt,
The T-56 Magnum is longer than a TKO and the trans mount is further rearward. Call me on Tuesday and we can go over all of the differences and dimensions. |
I have the ford m7003h in my SPF.
you can see a video on my YouTube link and I have the install article here on CC. --there are some special brackets to make but the rewards are awesome You don't need to overspend on a 56'. Steve |
T-56
Hi Steve,
I know you have the Ford Racing version of the T-56 1386-012. Tremec obsoleted all of the T-56's and now only make the T-56 Magnum. I stock these and I might be able to locate a leftover 1386-012. Quote:
