For whatever reason I cannot get an image to load on this thread. But if you go over to the small block talk forum, same question but has an image of the neck....

Don't water necks simply use a gasket?
It's a pretty standard size and should be available at the major part stores.

mark_n2,
It looks I steered you wrong.
The stock 302 water necks use just a gasket but I've been told that the expansion tanks also have an o-ring. Sorry about that, my bad.
rodney
btw, the person who told me may or may not have a red and white stripe SPF, formerly known as RedBarchetta.

The custom billet thermostat housing from Roush allows you to ditch the cheap stock version and uses an integrated O-Ring. There is no need for a gasket on the housing to spacer side. You still need a gasket on the spacer to manifold side. I beleive the o ring is just a round oring formed to the groove of the housing. I think with a touch of heat you can almost preform it in the groove or you could tack it in with a hint of permatex on install. I switched mine to the Roush housing when I replaced my intake gasket. High quality part and no leaks or drips.

Default Roush Thermostat Housing

Where can I get that nice billet thermostat housing. My Roush engine came with a cheap chrome thing that I can't seem to make leak free.

My 402 SR came with the nice housing. I'd place a call into Roush and see if they can ship you one.
