I've got a lower serial number car, but still not good on the hand brake.
I put the car up on 4 jack stands, no tires, and then tightened it up and ran it for 1 mile or so andthen tightened it some more. When it started to add heat to the rotors I backed it off a little. Now it works ok. When you tighten it, you want to take the slack out of the cables at the bottom of the lever (under the car), and also tighten the bolts with lock nuts on the parking brake calipers. There is a detailed procedure on SCOF.

You can also adjust the cable at the ebrake. Mine works perfect with the 41mm calipers.

I have owned two SPFs, the best emergency brake for them is a cinder block and rope..........
