Default Install kit questions-new roller

Well, my roller arrived this week. Too bad I'm missing a few things. Tried calling Superformance for a list of what is included with the 351 install kit. No help there.

Does anyone have a list of what parts are included in the install kit? I know I'm missing the motor mounts/brackets. I did get three radiator hoses with the same part number. No coolant tubes. Oil cooler hoses and fittings. Shifter and boot. Expansion tank. Not sure what else is missing.

May have a sidepipe issue. We'll see what happens. What's the latest on a sidepipe upgrade, or is it really neccessary for a 475-500 horse stroker. Not looking to have to wear earplugs all the time.

Your profile shows 351 Cleveland in SPO2512, is this a different car?

I have two Cobras at this time. The Superformance is getting a 393W stroker. The 351 Cleveland is in the NW Exotics/B&B Cobra.

Mitch/Vintage Upgrades-thanks for taking the time to help me out with the questions on my build.

It looks as though I have most of the parts i need for the install.

Blaz: Great job itemizing the various parts. See my comments below next to your questions. I have the "Hi-Tech Automotive Pack Kit" listing of individual components and related part numbers --kind of an inventory listing of parts that made up the install list that came with my car as well. In addition, I have the the Superformance Factory Options and Dealer Options order form that was used at the time my car was ordered from the factory. I could probably post those in my gallery if people find the information useful.

I figure I spent around $150 or so, on high quality Grade 8 fasteners that I had to purchase separately from my local Ace hardware.

Parts Provided with Roller:
1 - Upper Radiator Hose
2 - Lower Radiator Hoses --all three are "RH391"
1 – Shifter Boot With Mounting Ring (SCREWS?) --No mounting screws were provided
2 – Door Latch Leather Straps
1 – Steering Wheel Center Cap with installed O-Ring
1 – Upper Radiator Metal Hose Section ---200MM
1 – Lower Radiator Metal Hose Section ---250MM
1 – Throttle Linkage Assembly
1 – Carburetor Heat Spacer
8 – Radiator Hose Clamps
1 – Rear View Mirror Post, 2 Mounting Bolts & Mirror.
2 – Lift-a-Dot Female Clasps
2 – Tenax Male Fasteners w/2 washers
2 – Oil Pressure Line Block Connection Fittings
2 – Motor Mount Assemblies & Plates (Engine Choice Required)(BOLTING?) --Mine were 351W spec with no bolts provided
2 – Sidepipe Mounting Brackets (Bolting?) --No bolts provided
1 – Shifter (Bolting?) --No bolts provided
4 – AN Oil Line fittings (SIZE?) ---AN10
2 – Caution HOT - Adhesive Backed Stickers for Door Jambs
1 – Caution Windshield - Adhesive Backed Sticker
1 – Superformance Adhesive Backed Plastic Badge
1 – Manufacturers I.D. Aluminum Plate (Mounting?) -¬-no mounting rivets or fasteners provide. SPO number needs to be punched into tag
1 – Generic Coil Mounting Bracket (Bolting?)—No bolts provided
1 - Plastic Oil Pressure Line
2 – Ignition Keys
2 – Fuel Cap Lock Keys
2 – Trunk/Hood Lock Keys
2 - Original style side pipes and headers (BOLTING?) ---No bolts provided

Also Provided with Roller:
2 – Side Curtains w/ Storage Bag
2 – Top Bows w/ Storage Bags
1 – Convertible Top w/ Storage Bag
1 - Tonneau Cover
1 - Drivers Side - Outside Mirror. (Maybe Dealer Installed?) ---Mine was already installed by the factory

Options:
Hardtop.
Leather Steering wheel
What Other Options are available? –Polished Stainless Steel Quick Lifts, glove box, expansion tank, coated headers and side pipes, different types of body stripes, passenger side roll bar, race roll bar, passenger side exterior mirror, ashtray, 17” PIN Drive wheels, custom colors, hard top, No Rivets on Hood Scoop or Hood, Passenger seat slides, non-standard “colour” leather seats or dash or door panels or carpets, radiator rock guard, oil cooler rock guard, floor mats, car cover, polished stainless steel Over Riders/Bumperettes, polished stainless steel Roadster bumpers with hoops,

Round Tail Lights are Optional ? I don’t think they are any longer. Not listed on my “Factory Options” order sheet
Shoulder Harnesses are Optional ? I don’t think they are as they were not listed on my “Factory Options” order sheet
Is Glove Box is Optional ? ---Yes
What comes with the transmission Install kit? --Besides the actual original style shifter lever(that bolted to my Tremec trans) nothing. No rear trans mount was provided.

How about the Battery?

Maybe we should list what else you need to purchase too?
Lets add to that list...

Default Misc parts for Superformance install...

Blaz: The picture shows the speedometer angle drive which is installed on the back of the speedo and to which you hook up the speedo cable to.

Other items I purchased (besides literally 5 pages of parts for the individual engine parts, bell-housing, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, throw-out bearing, clutch slave and trans):

• Battery
• 3 ¾” Hole saw (to cut hole in console for shift lever)
• Heater hose support clamp (mounted on inner fender-well)
• Speedometer cable
• Brake / Clutch fluid (Dot 3)
• Engine motor mounts
• Nose, trunk and side emblems (Shelby/ 427)
• Driveshaft
• Rear trans mount
• Fuel line hose (connection from hard line on chassis to fuel pump)
• Hose: expansion tank overflow to puke tank (“coolant overflow recovery bottle”)
• Floor mats from Finishline

Tim-

Was that puke tank included with the vehicle? Mine came with the expansion tank. No puke tank or hose to the puke tank.

Dana: No, I had to buy the puke tank separately. I think the chrome expansion tank kit from Superformance cost around $500 which clearly is pricey.
