Default Single or Dual Plane

Roush 427R- I have conflicting information so here is the question: Is it possible to tell if the intake is single or dual plane from the outside without removing the carb or the intake from the engine?

They usually fit edelbrock victor- which is single plane.
If not, torker is single plane, performer is dual
I have the performer fitted, and a torker on stand by, I'll probably swap over one day to see the difference

Yes it is. A single plane will have all eight individual runners going from the plenum under the carb to the intake ports. A dual has them paired to opposite sides of the vee and generally do not have gaps between the runners.

Single plane manifolds are symetrical (mirror image), dual plane manifolds are not.
