Default speedometer

Spedo not working, removed same from spedo head, but cannot get the cable loose from the angle drive attached between cable and spedo head.

Have checked the nylon gear in tranny it seem ok.

Just don't know how the cable can be that tight on the angle drive, and am afraid of damaging the housing on the angle drive trying to hold it.

Antone have better idea?

thanks, marvin

You may have a speedometer cable self-destruct issue. Could be the cable is jammed at the end preventing the removal of the cable end. Does the cable turn? by hand or drill?

If it turns by hand/drill freely, it might be bottoming out in the transmission.

In the event the angle drive is faulty, I'd recommend calling:

Nisonger Instruments

225 Hoyt Avenue
Mamaroneck, NY 10543
Phone: 914.381.1952
Fax: 914.381.1435

They can take care of you. I've used them several times for similar issues and have been very happy with the results.
