Don't use four point. You could damage internal organs if you slide under the lap belt durring an impact. Use a five point the fifth point being a submarine belt that fits in your crotch. Google for your search. Alot of good companys out there, the better ones will have links to proper belt choices and installations.

If you do a search you will find a bunch of threads related to this.

And I agree, go with the 5 point.

There are many companies to choose from but I elected to go with SUMMIT. I've used them many times and found them to be very competitive and fast. I elected to go with F FORCE 5-point, latch and link, belts/harnesses. Good value for the money. You also might consider purchasing the shoulder pads to go with the shoulder harness-------a little extra width to provide more comfort for longer distance driving.

AFAIK, the only 4 point system that is DoT approved is from Schroth. They're also the only ones with a 4 point system that can be used in amauture racing groups like NASA and SCCA; although in limited applications.

Anything with a SFI rating is going to be safe in just about any kind of accident. I doubt you'll find one particularly better than another in that respect. I'm using a Simpson 5 point system, that has a central lever type latch. Maybe not as convenient as a central buckle. But a bit cheaper, just as safe, and simpler. Grab the red tab and pull. It will never jam. Once it's visually locked, it will bever come loose. That kind of clasp has been the standard in military aircraft for decades. Sometimes simplicity is a good thing.
