That's sensational, Kurt! Apologies to you others, but you just can't improve on a 289FIA in Viking / Princess Alice blue.
Cheers,
Glen

Kurt, looking good. I wonder if that horsepower was measured with those teacup filters. Someone here on the weber forum, said those things cost him 100 hp. Hard to believe that. I hope KC tuned your carbs for part throttle transition also, unless your racing only. Going through the weber tuning on my 331 now and not having a lot fun

I just stumbled into this thread...what a gorgeous automobile! I feel like the superlatives have been exhausted, but the color is perfect and the engine is absolutely amazing.

Kurt,
I'm very, very green with envy! And now you get to the really good part of having some hands-on input yourself.
Incidentally, I hadn't put front scoops on my list up until this point, but yours snug-in there so nicely....I'm impressed. The rears are very subtle (which is good). Love it!
Cheers,
Glen

There was a LOT of effort on Ross and Hi Techs part to get the little details right. Things such as the custom built oil coolers (most use the 427 unit which is narrower), the scoops, that fact that the body has "rolls" in the wheel openings that feel like the wire bead with aluminum rolled over it. You know, like an alloy body would have.
The work required to get the leaf springs correct was huge. The number of hurdles that had to be cleared is why this project took years to come to fruition. The FIA/USRRC cars are a testiment to determination.
And by the way, the 289 street cars are just as sweet.......

ERA normally specs a 295/50 - 235/60 combo on 9.5/7.5 Trigo FIA replica wheels. I recently changed to 275/60 and 245/60 on my car and think it's much more period looking.
