Early Superformance Rear Suspension Issue
Ok Guys:
I need some help. The other night, in an effort to add a bit more negative camber (bottoms out) to the right rear, I removed the 5/8 inch bold that holds the heim joint. It came out with little resistance, the two spacers on either side of the joint also came out with little resistance. So far no problem. I made the necessary adjustment to the heim joint (dialed it in a bit) and then tried to reinstall the joint. This was not to be.
The upper suspension wishbone moved forward about 1/4 inch (where it really wants to be). The 1/2 inch spacer that was on the forward side of the bolt will no longer go into place. I have spent the last 2 days trying to figure out how to reinstall the forward spacer but have come up with nothing.
If anyone out there (especially Connecticut guys) has a solution for me it would be much appreciated. I feel like the car will never move again. Has anyone out there run into this problem?
Bob
