Default Bleeding the clutch

The reservoir for the slave cylinder has contaminated fluid (dark in color). I want to remove all the contaminated fluid and add the clean. I am not sure if I should force the fluid out while topping it off with new fluid, remove the fluid from the reservoir and then add the new or just open the bleeder and add fluid allowing gravity to slowly remove it while topping it off with new fluid. Any suggestions on the best way to handle this?

I like to push the fluid up through the slave to the Master then up through resevior on the firewall. I just remove it as I go. A Phoneix system works great but so does this set up. Its cheap, will cost about 10 bucks. ‪BMW, VW, Porsche Clutch Bleeding‬‏ - YouTube

Default Surgical Tubing and a Broom

1/4" surgical tubing through a small hole in the cap of a bottle. Put some clean fluid in the bottle until it covers the bottom of the tube. Attach the other end of the tube to your slave bleeder screw. Crack the bleeder screw open, pump the brake pedal while you make sure your reservoir stays full of fresh fluid. When the fluid coming out of the tube is clear, use a broom stick to prop your clutch pedal against the floor board with the straw end against your seat. Then tighten up the bleeder screw and remove the surgical tubing and broom. I've been doing it solo this way for over 30 years and I do it this way on my Cobra as well. If there was anyone in my family that could pay attention and stay focused then I would use them....

I just did mine the other day.

Siphon out as much as you can from the reservoir (I used a turkey baster) and then crawl under and crack open the bleeder valve. let gravity do the job for you and then fill the reservoir with fresh fluid a couple of times. When the fluid coming out is clear, close the valve, top off the reservoir and you're done.

One final note. Don't forget to buy the wife another turkey baster. They don't wash up very good.
