Shame, really.
Another one for clubcobra's 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams'.
Awfully pricey for a SPF but to the right guy...
Farewell, Tin Man.

Guys, a Roush 511FE with EFI sells in the $40K-$45K range. An extensive Roush price list was posted here not too long ago.

Like I said in all my earlier posts, Roush is a rippoff. I want to know what price Blykins or Craft can build that exact engine for. If its close in price ill retract my Roush dislikes.

And we all have our opinions.
Jeff Frigo posted the Roush price list in a November 2011 thread. Post #62:
Roush 402IR 8 stack $44k ?

Don't get me wrong, it's a cool engine, I guess when you have money, cost is no object, especially if you want the name, ill stick with the mom and pop builders.

Wow, $7,150 for a CSX block now. I paid $5,195 back in the day. That's better than my retirement plan.

Your saving money everywhere, your roller was cheaper and your block was cheaper than todays price, about a 16k savings is not bad.

My thoughts exactly... and Tin-Man's story may have nudged Rsimoes' story from the ClubCobra pole position of "don't let this happen to you" experiences.

Ahh, it seemed like yesterday that rsimones asked about 10,000 questions in about 10,000 individual threads. I think rsimones paid $127K for his Kirkham once it was all said and done.
I think you're right. Tinman's story seems to have knocked the rsimones story from its perch.

Not too sure about that.......not many people know that rsimones bought another Kirkham after he sold the first Kirkham.

WTF! Can someone explain what this thread is about?
Also, Rodney, if you add the savings you have from an early Kirkham/CSX block build to a zero mileage car, you'll really cleanup when you sell.

Did not know that. Maybe there was a happy ending there. Does he still have this 2nd Kirkham Cobra?
Ah, come on Dave, cut me some slack.
If you guys wouldn't schedule "at the break of dawn" breakfasts, up at some place I can't seem to find without GPS, a lighthouse and a foghorn, then I might actually show up once in a while.
I need my sleep.

Look on the bright side I would venture to guess all the vendors and suppliers made money. Kudo's to Tinman for making a decision to end the pain and move on!!!!! I am sure this car will sell in the mid-60's, maybe low 70's, it is in fact a Superformance. There are better things to worry about in life than the $40k to $50k which is probably what will be lost on his side.
