Hi all,

I just brought this beauty home yesterday and boy it's like being in a exotic with all the attention that one gets.... Stopped at my condo downtown SF then crossed over to the eastbay to the house to put her up in the garage. This spring/summer will definitely be fun times. First line of business is swapping out those stock SPF mufflers for a pair of 3"/4" CC.

Outstanding! She's a beauty! We have the same engine and I'm wondering what intake manifold and carb set up you have? I have an Edelbrock Air Gap intake and a BIGS Stage 5 750 double pumper. Congrats to you! Your life will change because of this Cobra....

I don't know the exact specs yet but it has a Holly carb that also has Roush engraved in it, edelbrock intake and aluminum heads that also say Roush on the front/rear. SPF2969

Looks great!! Any addition pics? Are the wheels two tone, or just the angle of the pic?

i would be careful with the mufflers. SPF's mufflers have a great low rumble sound. Many have a high pitched popping sound which echo off fences and anything else you drive by. They sound like a top fuel dragster. If at all possible find a car with the mufflers you think you want a go for a 20 minute ride at constant speed. A decibel can be the same but have a different sound wave!!!

If you do swap the pipes, check out Full Throttle over in Sparks, Nevada. He will ship you a pair of coated replacement stock SPF pipes with the 3" internals in exchange for your stock pipes and some $$. Best sound you'll ever hear and with this exchange method, there is no down time.
And, yes, you will need ear plugs from then on!

My stock pipes sounded like a sewing machine so I shoved a mirror inside to see what they looked like. I measured 1 1/2 inches inside the baffle and it was partially crushed in spots to make it even smaller. I Had Stephen over at Full Throttle build me a 3" set and when I fired it up in the garage for the first time, my wife and kid came running out to the garage to see what had exploded. Loved them ever since.

And I never got Stephen on the phone either. Always used email and even that took a while to get an answer. But love the pipes!

The wheels are black chrome to match the rest of the black chrome on the car.

i got some replacement pipes once. The popped so loud they were off the car in 30 minutes I could not stand to drive it. I can spin the tires at will up to 70 mph don't need the noise and I question if in the end you gain any hp. Its nice to drive down the freeway and be able to have a conversation.
