Default New Leaf Spring 289 Just Finished

Hey all,
Thought I'd post a few photos of a friends 289 SPF to show off how beautiful this car really is and how well it was put together! It's newly finished and turned out spectacular! Personally, I can tell you it must be seen in person to truly appreciate the detail that went into this car. What do you think?

The factory was pushed EVERY inch of the way by Ross Henry. I was privy to the development and the number of changes, revisions and upgrades made is what makes the Superformance MK II such a fabulous car! It has resulted in a very accurate car yet improved driving dynamics that makes the 289 a ball to drive and toss around.

And being a period correct color is the icing!

Thanks Guys! And special thanks Larry, for posting all the pics.

I took delivery of the car exactly a year ago, it's been a labor of love. I was lucky to have a driven a few 289 CSX cars in the past, and have been hooked since. SPF indeed got it close, but I took it closer. I wanted an authentic experience either looking at it, or driving it.

A HUGE thanks to Ross Henry, couldn't have the car running/looking like it does without him. Same to Nick Acton, for great info, service and parts. Of course, Larry -LMH- an incredible source of information and 'historian'. Also to Butch Englebrecht..owner of CSX 22XX, who let me dissect his car at will, so I could duplicate the non-obtainables. Also to Cobra Restorers, who filled in the other 'blanks'.

Any questions on the build, I'd be happy to answer.

Thanks again, guys..this site & you all have been a pleasure-

..and finally a HUGE thanks to Todd Smith, who machined a pile of new parts, and Daniel Michel who modeled, machined and rapid prototyped his fingers off.
