Since I have an ERA , this might not be applicable to you , but I`m running Bilsteins from RE Suspensions in Mooresville . Had them valved specific to each wheel , my motion ratios , wheel frequencies , springs etc . Long story short , they set the precharge pressure at 125 psi . I decided to experiment so dropped pressure to 60 psi and the car was too " bouncy " . Ended up back at 125 psi .
Don`t know about 180 psi , but the higher the pressure , the higher the car will sit and it effectively increases your spring rate some .
Discuss this with Olthoff as those guys really know the Superformance and believe them over what Bilstein says .
FWIW .... RE handles and builds some really hi end stuff for a lot of race teams , such as Penske and Ohlin , and can rebuild/revalve any shock they sell .
