Default Hardtop Headroom?

Can anyone tell me what the interior headroom clearance is with a Superformance hardtop?

I'm a newbie here, shopping for a Superformance Cobra Roadster. All those used autos I've looked at so far did not have the Superformance manufactured hardtop, which is something I would like. I have along torso - my head is 39 inches above my butt when seated - and would like to know if the Hermann Munster bulge is big enough for me. (Try saying that with a straight face).

Has anyone ordered a Superformance hardtop separately, after they bought their Cobra? I wonder if there were fit issues? I read elsewhere in this forum that the hardtops were individually fitted to the bodies at the South Africa factory.

My hardtop has my car's serial number stamped right on it. I believe they were all fitted for one specific car. I'm 6 foot 3 & I have plenty of headroom under the hardtop.

My hardtop was from a car a few years newer than mine. It fits fine. Even the paint matched perfect.

As far as headroom it has plenty. The hard part is getting in and out of the car.

Thanks for the info! I read there is a speed limitation for the soft top: any similar limitations for the hardtop, in your experience?

The only speed limitation with the hardtop is the pucker factor. I've been up to 140 at TWS with it. A plus of the hardtop is most race tracks will allow you to run there with an instructor or two people in the car. With no top and one roll bar they frown upon it.

The issue ( or maybe it's another issue) with a hard top is getting in and out. Same with a coupe. It's the small door and small window that makes it hard to get your head inside the car. That's my experience anyway. (I'm 6'2")
