Default Batterybrain

Just ordered on of these, but here is not enough room to squeeze it into the battery box.

Battery Brain UK Products, Purchase and Check Out

Has anyone installed one, and would care to share how and where.

Thanks!

I've installed the Battery Brain on my SPF. Can't quite figure out how to upload the photo. PM me with your email address and I'll send it along. I have also talked to the rep here in the US and he was very helpful. The sucker works and I am impressed with the product.

I don't get it. This is just a volt meter and a battery disconnect. You shouldn't have any parasitic drain on a Cobra anyway. Why would you even want this thing?

It comes with a remote. You push the button and it disconnects the battery. Easy and cheap theft protection without the need to open and close the boot to get to the battery switch.

I work as a RAA patrolman and I'm surprised why they don't fit these to all modern vehicles. The amount of times a battery goes flat because the interior light or boot light stayed on. Even sticky solenoid for the cooling fan. But I wouldn't trust the remote key one, in case you accidently trigger it whilst it's going. The remote button is a good idea. Especially in the case of fire, or the start of an electric major short.

No risk there, it has to be connected to a wire that has 12V when the engine is running, e.g. fuel pump. Then it will not cut power even if you push the button or the voltage falls below 11.9V. Very clever design
