Replaced my Michelin Pilot Sports with the Nitto 555 Extreme for two years and could not be more pleased with the performance. Very predictable performance all the way around and the 315/35/17 rears really hook up great under hard acceleration.

You should contact LUCKY-13 on this board. He recently installed the Nitto 325-50-15's on his car.I have been planning on putting a 325-50-15 on my car since back in August when we tore it down for the overhaul. I have been looking at both the Nitto and the Mickey Thompson. I currently have 17's but I purchased a set of 15" from Vintage Wheels and had them machine 3/8" off the rear wheels to help with the clearance. I expect my car will have the motor back in and be ready for a test drive in the next 60 days. We did a T-56 swap as well as many other modifications and plan to test the car with the same tire/wheel and suspension setup as it has always had. After the initial testing and miles on the new clutch we plan to pull the rear diff for gears, axle up grade and swap to the 15's tire/wheel setup.

325 nitto 555r is shorty in diameter then my 275/60 MT ET street. Go figure. but 2" wider and it tucked in nicely in my superformance 2815. Rear ride height set at 26.6

Hi,
What width 15" rim do you have for the 315/325's?

Inertia,
the wheels are original (1998) Superformance knock offs.
I believe they were listed at 15 x 9.5

Steve,
Thank you!
Motorhead,
Yes the vents work. It seems to be a -5 to 10 deg. F difference on the road.
They also reduce the heat soak of the carb when stopped dramatically. Cool down time is noticeably shorter.
