Mklll hood hinge

Making plans to remove the hood to install the engine. Are the hood hinges spring loaded? I have not taken a detailed look yet. Thinking about getting into the engine compartment and removing the hood bolts with the hood closed. Then hopefully just lift off the hood. I don’t want the hinges springing up as we take the hood away.

No, not spring loaded. Put tape around the mounting bosses so you can replace as they were and you are good to go.
