Ratboy, good luck. Certainly a nice looking car and if you get it, you'll really like not having to be concerned about getting bit by side pipes.

I agree, I already showed the wife and said the exact same thing.
She didn't know I was looking for another Cobra.

Default Fingers crossed.

I promise not to bid on it Dan Really like the idea of no side pipes, hood scope, lack of stripes, but BLACK . I've owned my fair share of cars in that color, pain in the Ass. But us beggers can't be chosers. Good Luck "Ratboy" Cheers TommyRot Us PNW members will be watching the last few minutes, of the auction.

It's not dripping oil, it's marking it's territory

I got mine cheap, low 40s, CA sb100 though 38k miles. Nothing on a normal car, I suppose not too bad for an spf except the little stone chips.

Part of the fun is fixing these if you don't mind doing the work yourself.

The trans leak is either the output seal or input flange, or oil migrating back from the engine (probably valve cover gasket in that case).

I fixed both leaks in my tko600 for about 30 bucks.. but it required pulling the trans from the top (a strong friend helps).
My valve cover gaskets were also leaking.

As I combed through my car, it also needed the upper rear suspension heim joints, new clutch slave and bracket (old one had weird wear from being offset), and a new starter (old one worked but was weak).
And I had to make a new fuel tank sender gasket.

The rest of the upgrades were for fun.. RT suspension, playing with the air filter, swapping the coil (msd oil coil installed on its side wasn't giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling), new shifter (may as well when the trans is out).

4500 miles isn't much, but in my experience cars that sit for long periods tend to leak, dried seals and all.

On this car, I'd definitely go with a wood steering wheel and 15" tires.

On my old SPF I installed a black leather steering wheel and loved the grip compared to the wood wheel.
As for the wheels, 18" look soooooo much better then the 15" wheels IMO.

Very nicely executed SPF, DWRAT. I don't know if you saw the VOSS sticker underhood in one of the pics or not. Excellent high end SPF installer. The front suspension looks like someone did a fair amount of work on it. My guess is it was done to optimize bump steer.

BTW the transmission in one of the pics has a Rockland Gear Tranzilla sticker on it. The write up says it is a TKO 600. I originally believed the sticker in the picture. When I compared the side view of the pictured transmission to a T-56 picture from Tremec it was clear it is not a Tranzilla or a T-56 based unit. Most likely a Rockland Gear supplied or modified TKO 600 — still pretty nice.

Very nice car, hope you are the winning bidder.

Dwrat, with that one I would go for the full retro street car look. Hence the 15s and wood wheel.

I don't like how tiny the brake discs look with an 18 either.

I swapped the leather for wood on mine- it does feel much better, but the wood had a better look.

Good luck, hopefully he will quit early as he has to leave enough room for profit on resale.

I'm thinking mid to high $50s would be a fair price.

Do they list sale prices? Not that I recall. So the ASKING price was 81K and the actual closing price isn't known except to the seller and buyer. But i'd bet that it sold closer to 80K than 50K.

Very true but do you really think Hilbank came off the price more then a couple grand?

I see it's up to $45k now. My pockets aren't deep enough to compete with Lance. I hope yours are DWRAT, good luck!

Not even close for me either.
I have already moved on to a different deal with TommyRot.
