Default 351W Mechanical fuel pump fitting clearance

Hi All,

I'm dressing my long block 427 and could use some help with clearance issues.
I'm using a Carter high flow mechanical pump. The outlet that will supply my carburetor will be routed from the front of the engine to the carb. So based on my options where the outlet can run off of the pump puts at the 3 o'clock position (if looking down on the pump from the front of the engine, pump on right). The AN fittings to route the fuel line straight up is a 90. My question is since the 90 degree fitting sticks out 2 1/2" from the pump will there be clearance for this in the chassis?

Carter chose to use a 5/8"-16 threaded female port and no one makes a direct male 8AN to 5/8" male 90. So I'm forced to use their supplied straight adaptor which increases the distance the 90 deg fitting sticks out. If I make any sense.

Thanks for any help

David
