Default Battery hold-down

Came back from a ride, and found that I had the battery compartment lid and the two knurled knobs that fasten it, but nothing else. Whatever sort of threaded rods that were there have apparently fallen free and are somewhere out on the road. Never paid too much (any) attention to just exactly what was there, so I don't know what to replace. Can anyone tell me what the stock SPF battery compartment lid hold-down is comprised of? Just two threaded rods, or something more complex? Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Look to see if the 2 rods just fell into the battery box.
I don’t recall them projecting thru the box but that’s a detail I have never really looked closely at. I can tell you the rods on mine remain upright when the battery is removed, that I know for sure.

Nothing in the box but the battery. There are two holes in the bottom of the box that align with the holes in the cover, so I assume the rods went through the bottom of the box and were secured somehow.
Hoping someone can provide some insight on what the factory setup is.

Mine were not full threaded. Straight ods had a short right angle turn at the end to hold them in place and threaded on the other end

Ok, mine has a 1” wide plate the length of the battery box bonded on the outside bottom of the battery box. I would guess two pieces of round rod are tacked to the 1” plate and project up thru the fiberglass and into the battery box. They would be threaded at the top for the knurl nuts to secure the cover. Send me an email message and I’ll take a photograph for you. Appears easy enough to fabricate something. What is your chassis number? Odd that the bonding would fail unless mounting bracket was removed by previous owner to fit off spec battery?
