Saw an ad for these in a Vintage Motorsports magazine. Thought somebody could comment on if these might be a viable option for an SPF or other Cobra replica.

If this might help you in any way check in the gallery under "Preguess" I had mine done at the B&B upholstery shop for $200.00

preguess,

Are those rests fixed in place or can they be raised higher? Was the cost to recover existing seats? Nicely done.

James,

Good link. There are only about a billion seats made. More if you count colors. And these have some things going for them IMHO. Thanks for the link. I lean toward the Rallye, but the top of the seat is 24" and that is at least three inches higher than the shoulder belt attachment point in my SPF [more with a seat adaptor or rails]. I hear that the goal is to keep it within 2 inches. Ignoring SCCA rules for the moment, is that because the belts loosen if the seat back compresses vertically in a crash?

They are adjustable or removable, that cost was for just making the headrests. Any upholstry shop could make them!!!

Default seats for the Cobra

Hi All,
not all our seats will fit the Cobra, but with a steel tube frame and duralastic belt the ride will be more that comfortable...as tested in various classic rallye cars in Europe.I agree that the Rallye STS might be a too modern looking seat, but the ST,the Nurburgring and the Sebring are seats that fit and accomodate many drivers-( however the ST is a glassfiber shell ).
regards and a great Holiday Season Stefan ClassicCarSeats.com
