Dave,
I installed my mounts from new and had no issues, I've got over 4k miles on them so far and very happy ..... Be sure to follow Rod's instructions and I'm sure you will also be pleased with them.

I have used both of these mounts in my Superformance. Either of them will solve your problem and limit engine twisting. I drive my car a lot (working on 43,000 miles). I found Rodney's, though strictly speaking not "solid" mounts, transfered a noticable amount of engine vibration through the steering column/wheel and added fatigue in a short period of time. The Olthoff mounts offer the same, or nearly the same benefits, but with very little increase in vibration over the stock mounts. Rodney's mounts are beautifully crafted and look great. If I were going to just show and or drag race my car, I would choose his mounts. For driving (street, road and drag racing) I personally prefer the Olthoff mounts. Your mileage may vary.

I just installed the Olthoff mounts after my sidepipe bracket on the passenger side kept breaking. In addition to stopping the breakage, it has made a tremendous improvement in that the car feels more solid, more responsive, and it doesn't shake at idle like it used to.
I thought it was the BB torque that did this in the SPFs but obviously not...
Highly recommended.

I know the guys above are in the BB club, but for us SB'ers, don't believe the thought that 67-69 351W Mustang mounts will fit the same. Been there, done that.
Was told by a reliable source that they'd work. They raise the engine up 1 1/2" so not only does the air cleaner hit, the puke jug hits the hood too.
Fun exercise in futility.

I thought everone just drilled a hole through the regular or poly mounts and secured a bolt through it to limit movement. That method holds my 427so perfectly but dissipates vibration well , cheap too.

I thought about that first, but figured if I'm going to pull the mount to drill a hole and put in a bolt I might as well just get new mounts. It would have been much cheaper with buying two bolts though.

Agree 100%.
Eric, did you also replace the transmission mounts on your car?
