I Finally Did It
I ordered My SPF a couple of days ago from Dynamic in Ohio with Perf Eng. building the engine and doing the install. Details = Indigo Blue with Titanium stripes, dual roll bars, full bumpers, ceramic pipes, 15" rims with 295 rear tires, glove box, etc. Engine = 557 (675hp) package, with new block, exhaust service, TKO 600 with .82 5th gear. So now the wait begins - a mid September delivery. I've been obsessed for a couple of years - and now it's coming!

Awesome Mark!
Indigo with titanium is awesome! I have the same big-dog overdrive 5th gear and love it. With a 3.73, 4th will get me to 124mph. In 5th, I get 20 mpg on the highway and top out at 165 or so! Better mpg than my wife's Explorer!

Mad - I love your car! For months I used your pictures as the desktop pictures on all of my computers!!! I was going to go with the black/titanium combo for the longest time (because of your excellent photography) - but the Indigo Blue just - speaks to me. And - I love the story about your Dad. I plan on taking my Dad for am many rides as possible.

Mark,
Congratulations! You might as well set your home page to Club Cobra, since you already know the first place you'll visit when you turn your computer on !
I'm patiently waiting for my car to land in Reno. It was supposed to arrive in Long Beach yesterday .

Ohio is actually closest to me. I had a chance to visit them last year while I was traveling through Ohio for business. I took a 2 hour detour to get to them - took a test drive, was instantly hooked - and the 5 hour drive home was all smiles. I have a 99 Vette - and was looking for more! That Cobra test drive (with a 485HP 408sbf) hit me right between the eyes! I'm trading the Vette to them - and I will miss it - it's refined, smooth, and trouble free. But it lacks that sesory overload experience of the Cobra. The smell, the wind, the noise, the thrust - it took me by complete surprise! I really just wanted to test a Cobra to find out if these "kit cars" were just a bunck of rattle traps (as I had heard) but I found the car quite solid - and 100% thrilling. Yea - I got the bug - and futher - this is the first site I check everyday - and several times a day!

Mark,
Congratulations, it seems like it takes forever to get here after you order it. I know you will enjoy it. I don't know if you saw the race roll bar option they have, very clean look.

I realized after I posted where you were located. Like you, I was thoroughly impressed with the fit, finish, and stability of the Superformance.

Ken,
I said it before, but I've got to say it again....they did a kick axx job on that roll bar. For a full roll bar, it just sits right. Have you taken delivery of your car?

Congrats! I just put my order in on Friday from the same place same color but with white stripes. I should have mine in about 1 month, they are delivering it to NY. Ohio facility is the best!
I will let you know how it goes when I get it. I am already losing sleep thinking about it with a month to go, I dont know how you are going to do it.

I followed your thread last week - and that was the inspiration for me! I called Dynamic to see if they could hook me up in 40 days too - but they didn't have the exact car that I was interested in - no matter - I forged ahead and put in my order - so in a way - Thanks to YOU! And - yea - I lost a little sleep the last few nights as well. My family thinks I'm obsessed (and a little dorky) for getting so keyed up over just a "car". They'll be singing a different tune when they see (and hear) that shiny new beast in person.

Congrat's and enjoy the pain of waiting for the car to be completed...it was the toughest part of the buy.

Hi Doug,
I picked up the car 2-weeks ago, but I have had a fuel injection problem that I have been trying to get fixed. Sent the parts back to them yesterday. Just waiting to get them back. I have only been able to take it out for short runs. It has been a long 7 months waiting. Stephen at RED did a very nice install. I got my CHP inspection done and I got my plates. Just waiting for January to do the SB-100. Good luck on yours!!
