Default Creaking Noise In Rear Suspension

Hello, I Have Spf 2585 And Have Had The Fun Of Putting 2000 Miles On The Vehicle Since I Bought It New In June. I Have Had Numerous Little Things Go Wrong, Mainly Leaks, But Assume That Is Part Of The Shakedown Period. I Have Developed A Creaking Noise In (the Rear Suspensin I Think). It Makes A Cracking/creaking Sound On Bumps And Braking. Has Anyone Else Come Across This, What Is The Remedy? It Is Getting Annoying, And Would Like To Fix It As Soon As Possible. Thanks In Advance For Any Replies.
ALSO I HAVE LOST ONE OF THE 12 MM STAINLESS ACORN NUTS THAT HOLD ON THE QUICK JACK, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND THEM? I HAVE SEARCHED ALL OVER AND NO ONE CARRIESS THESE PARTICULAR ACORN NUTS, THEY ARE EITHER TO SHALLOW OR THEY ONLY GO UP TO 10 MM. WE CAN PUT A MAN ON THE MOON, BUT I CANT FIND A SIMPLE NUT!!!! UNREAL!

I don't know for sure, but if you bought it new and paid for the installation, I would think the dealer should step up and fix things. You sort of expect some leaks, but the creaks - I don't know. Should be a warranty thing. Same with the nut on the quickjack.

Ttmb,
I Would Agree About The Dealer Fixing It, But As In Most Cases The Dealers Are Not Convienient , Location Wise To Just Go And Have Them Look At It, I Am 400+ Miles Away From My Dealer. It Might Be A Good Idea On My Part Though To Take It And Do The Trip For Saftey Sake, Thanks For The Help.

I'd at least ask him to mail you a nut - that should have been checked for tightness before it went out the door.

And have a talk with him about the noises. I thought spf had fixed most of the rear-end squawks, and he might know just what is going on. Someone else will chime in about the rear end noise - I know this has come up before.

I know OSH carries a pretty good assortment of nuts and bolts. Chromed acorn nuts included. The best assortment at a hardware store I know of.

Some silicone spray on some of the moving parts with the suspension keep the squeeks away. I'd check for any loose or missing bolts first though just to be sure there aren't any.
