Default SPF Trip Odometer Reset?

I can not find the trip odometer reset button, lever, knob in my SPF. I've looked way too long for it. Can anyone tell me where it should be located and where it comes out of the odometer case?

Should be a small black knob just under the dash below the speedometer. Don't pull it out too far or spin it to fast, or you will break it.

Look directly under the speedometer ... under the bottom edge of the dashboard. There is a small black knob that you twist. Its just to the left of the cigarette lighter.

In my car it was missing as delivered from Superformance. It turned out the hole was drilled in the dash, but the leather wasnt punched out, and the reset knob wasnt installed. They fixed it for me

I'll check under the leather for a hole under the leather covering because there is not a knob to be found.

Black tubing which connects to the trip odo clips to the back of the speedo located just above the level of the right angle gear attachment and to the right (pass) side of the speedo - if the tubing is there find the end and locate it through the hole on the under edge dash lip. It's a purely mechanical connection, be very gentle with it, I've already been through one speedo and with my new one I've decided to not mess with the trip odo

Don,

I just found the covered hole in the dash and the hole in the back of the speedometer for something to go into to allow the trip reset. I'm like you, save the money, all I want is a speedometer/odometer.

Take it back to the dealer.

Don,
My reset cable is probably on the garage floor in South Africa. The dealer said he would mail me one. Thanks for the help!

By all means, get the reset cable and attach it. It should only take a couple of minutes.

My fuel gauge is inaccurate, possibly because the dealer didn't bother to calibrate it when the fuel cell was installed, so I just reset the trip odo and gas up when I've gone 200 miles. Someday, when I replace the foam, I'll calibrate the gauge but for now, the trip odo sure is handy.

My fuel guage works, but that is still a good idea. I was thinking about Tom Kirkham's speedometer/fuel gauge, but the fuel gauge display looks awful small.

Couldn't agree more!! My gas gauge will bearly budge for the first 120 miles or so, then cruises through the next 40 or 50. Without that trip odo, I'm sure I'd be "fuel-less" on the side of the road somewhere. GET IT FIXED!
