Default Nuts and bolts

While going over my Superformance Mark III, I found one of the four bolts holding the passenger seat was missing. I also am missing the cap nut that holds the chrome heat shield where the headers exit the body. I tried another cap nut on a 1/4" bolt but it seems like it must be metric. The seat bolt looks like 3/8" or larger but I didn't play with it. Does anyone know what these sizes are and is there a master list of Superformance fasteners?

All of the fasteners on Superformance cars are probably metric (with the exception of the engine/trans), unless someone modified something (i.e. modified seat). Superformance now offers a parts list on their website, but they don't provide detailed info on the fasteners used.

I just finished removing the seats in my car in prep for the engine install. If i remember correctly its a metric size 12 x 2 inches. I may be able to confirm today if i stop by my buddy's garage. Can't offer any help on the cap.

Grade 8 - 5/16-18 x 1.25 - Use a lock washer under the nut.
Some say Grade 8 is too brittle for this application so they suggest Grade 5.
Some like Stainless Steel, but be sure to use copper antiseize or they will gall.
Re-ighten after the exhaust has had a hot cycle.

I'm constantly surprised as to if I'll find a metric or regular fastener on mine. It's a fine blend of both, never hinting as to which it will be...
Good for you for going through the car like this! I found several fasteners not tight on mine. But, it's a small production car so maybe some of that is to be expected.
Congrats on the SPF! You'll love it!
