Drag day 3 November 2007
I thought I'd post this here in the Superformance forum as I know there are a number of Arizona Superformance drivers. The drag day is open to all and not a competition, but only for fun. You should be able to run as slow or as fast as you like with the typical Superformance set up, no pressure at all. There will also be a variety of exotic and domestic cars of enthusiasts participating. In the below link please find details and I hope to see some fellow Superformance drivers at the event.

I think the DA will be well over 2000 ft, so trap speed will probaby be a little under 130. Time will depend on how the run starts. A 1.6 60ft would be about 10.9 for me if the pass is good.

After watching the video of your 10.9x run a couple times, I still think you have another 10th in there based on the 2-3 shift alone. With your set-up and skills I just have a hunch you can turn a 10.8x at some point in that car, but that's probably the limit given the set-up (IRS, weight balance, etc.).

It looks like the drag day event DA was 2700ft to 3300ft give or take between 11:00AM and 1:30PM.
My best pass was 11.024 @ 129.399, 1.812 60ft, 11:11 AM about 2800ft DA
I will hold my head low in shame for the poor 60ft and not entering the 10s

So at the lauch, do you idle start and just shift up through the gears "normally"?
I've tried different rpms and can't get out of the wheelspin of my 3.73 rear end. I lose all my time with First gear and half of second just spinning away.

I pretty much start about 1200 - 1500 rpm and shift around 6800 rpm. The problem for this particular day was track surface temperature was over 100F and I suspect with it being a casual club event the track wasn't prepped as good as it could have been. Everyone was spinning. I did ask an official at the track what surface temperature would be best and he said about 85F. I brought my temperature gun and by the time racing started it was an up hill battle.
It would be nice to make a few passes with lower DA and track surface temperature within a good range.
The tires stick better on a normal road than they did at the event.
