Default Roush 402SR

Hi all -

after what seemed like an eternity, picked up the motor from my new friends over at Roush. Now the fun begins...I cant say enough about the folks over there. I received a full blown tour when i ordered...clean, neat, organized (even though they are slammed with orders), and only one person touches each engine after the build starts. On pickup, i had inquired if my builder would come out and take a pic by the motor and he obliged...nice momento for the scrapbook.

Numbers at the crank: TQ/HP

3,000 435.1 248.5
4,000 463.9 353.3
5,000 470.7 448.1
6,000 432 493.6

Peak 481 494

Eric,

Do you understand how painfull it is to finish assembling your car in the winter time in Michigan? You'll be making motor noises in your garage this winter.

Good luck on the install, as I'm sure your in good hands with the help.

Ronnie

Hi Ron -

Its even more painful when you have saved up enough for you dream...trailer it back home to your friends garage...and you only get to see it once every week or two. Now that the engine is here i suspect ill be spending much of my free time at his home. Today I install the MSD ignition and start the mating of the engine to the trans...fun stuff. One luxury...the garage has two full ceiling furnaces...so no cold tools!

Congrats on the new powerplant. How long did it take from order to delivery on the Roush engine? I'm waiting on a SPF GT40 and want to order a 427SR. By the way did you get the TW cam with your 402?

Hi Swift - thanks. About one month from order to pick up at Roush. I purchased my TKO 600 through them as well. They are backlogged on TKO 600's with the .64 overdrive due to a delay at Tremec. I went with the .82 so didnt have to wait for the trans. Yes I did order the Twisted Wedge.
