New valve covers
Thanks to Dean for tipping me off about these valve covers. I got them sanded for the brushed finish too! I also had them brush my air cleaner.

The engine looks really nice, now stock up on some goo-gone or some naptha to keep the arruminum clean.
The valve covers have a very classy look to them, well done.

Very nice..glad I could help! If you need some satin breathers to match the covers, I know a great source. Look in my gallery for what they look like on the car.

Here's a link for the breathers:

They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for in life. These are top shelf pieces.

A fellow CC member just PM'd me for a link to the valve covers, too. No specific link, as they are available all over the Internet. Go to eBay and do a search under "Fabbed" or "Fabricated 351W valve cover". You'll see many priced between $100-$150 for the pair.
You will then have to take them to a metal finishing shop (like a chrome plating place) and they have the right grits to lay down a really even satin (brushed) finish. I wasn't happy with the factory finish so having them gone over with the right equipment makes them look that much better. You could do this yourself with some 120 grit sand paper, then move to 180/220 and hit it with a Scotchbrite pad thereafter. But it's WORK and it's really hard to get all the lines flowing in the same direction (especially within the bolt hole recesses)! I now use 180/220 (can't remember which) to touch up any little scratches/marks, then follow with a RED Scotchbrite pad. Then some lacquer thinner on a clean rag and that eliminates all the black dust that you generate when you sand on aluminum.
Hope this helps others that want to go the satin route. It's definitely a change from polished and I'm still debating which look takes more effort to keep clean.

Thanks for the link, Dean. I spotted just the one I wanted.
I also tried sanding my valve covers the way Dean mentioned. After a few hours of work, and lots of sweat, they still didn't look right. I took them to two different shops before I found one that said they could give me the look I was after. It was well worth paying a shop to do them right.
