Compare the height on the Quick Time to the McLeod bellhousings. On my 427 I didn't need a spacer or short shaft conversion for the Quick Time housing.

Default Just in from Ross McCombs @ QuickTime

Hi James

Feel free to post this.
The RM-6063. Height is 6.3". It was built to adapt the SB Ford to short shaft TKO 500/600, old style top loader, and the BW-T10.

The RM-6060. Height is 6.925". It was built forr the long shaft TKO 500/600, TR-3550, and the Mustang T-5 (Non-SFI certified).

The RM-6065 is the same as the RM-6060 but it carries an SFI 6.1 certification.

QuickTime does not believe in the use of spacers of adapters because of issues with stacking tolerances. It is easy for us to add models and QuickTime feels that this is the best option.

We carry the RM-6060 and the RM-6065 because they are both high volume items and the RM-6060 is a good option for the street guy who is not wanting to take his car to the track and run under 11.00.

The advantages of the RM-6060 are as follows: Will pass an SFI test so it is safe (we cannot use the sticker because of the lack of the 8 3/8" grade 8 bolts in the lower half of the housing), 2 lbs less weight, $40 less cost, more ground clearance (no bottom lip). We did not want to penalize the guy who does not need the SFI certification, but yet have a housing available for the guy who does need the certification. The RM-6065 is the best housing available @ only 22 lbs if you must have the SFI version.

We are working on starter covers that will be offered as an option next month. These will be a bolt on item so they can be added to any housing that is already in service. The starter opening currently is cut pretty close to the outline of starter nose so when the starter is in place the hole is nearly gone. It works out to be a great place to adjust or look at the clutch assembly if necessary by removing the starter and also provides some air flow to the flywheel clutch assembly. Most people have had no issues with running the housing "as is".

QuickTime has added nearly 40 models of bellhousings in the last year alone. We have added models that people have asked us to, in order to solve there specific problems. We continue to develop new models. One benifit of our unique design is that if we need to make changes to an existing design it can be easily done. We are constantly making changes to improve our products and help out as many people as we can. Thanks for your interest in QuickTime products.

Thank you,
Ross McCombs

PS You will loose approx 3/4"ground clearance with the SFI version of RM-6063. Please specify SFI when ordering as we will have both SFI and non SFI versions available for a little while.
