I finally did it. The SPF is in the garage
After months of searching, I finally purchased my first SPF.
SPF 2168 Indigo blue with Viper Steel Gray stripes.
As soon as I figure out how, I will post some pictures.

You did real good.
I love the color combo. When I was first looking at a new car, that was the color combo I fell in love with.
I want those valve covers also. What do you think about those 17's?
I've been thinking about a set of 17's for an extra set of tires.
Do you have the front overriders? (I noticed they weren't installed.
Great buy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Chris,
I prefer the 15s and plan to purchase a set right away, but the 17's are growing on me and I keep them as a second set. the rears are 335's super wide and they don't rub. amazing.
The previous owner said they came loos a few times so he removed them both. I do have them and will put them on soon.
Thanks again.

Doug, I noticed in your gallery that you have a picture of "Olthoff Engine Mounts 351".
The car I purchased is showing signs of pipes hiting the body on the torque side. Do you recommend those mounts or would you suggest putting some shims in my existing mounts?

Dan -
You didn't ask me, but I'll chime in. I have the Olthoff mounts on 1061. They
are the solution to your problem, not shims. If you are producing enough torque to hit the body, you MAY be able to shim the engine into a position that the pipes no longer hit, but eventually the rear side pipe mounting brackets will break from the stress created by the flexing.

Dan - I found a thread that talks about some soultions for the pipes rubbing on the body under acceleration.
Engine mounts with less movement?
I had the Olthoff urethane mounts installed on my car car when it was new, so I can't offer any comparison info. They seem to work well and I haven't noticed any vibration issues. I know that Daryl in the South Bay went from the standard mounts to the Olthoffs, so I'm sure he could provide some info.

Steve SPF1061 and Doug, thanks for your direction on the engine mounts.
After reading through the threads is appear that the Olthoff Engine mounts seem to be the best solution for the problem. The only concern I have is how easy of a swap is it and will it increase the engine height?
I will give Olthoff a call on Monday and gets them ordered if it's a straight forward swap for the existing mounts.

Sweet SPf and the 17" look great on this particular car. I generally prefer 15" but your color combo works nice.

Jeff, I agree. I prefer the 15's but the 17's with the tire and height setup does look good. I will be putting 15's on. Just trying to decide on the GoodYear BB's or the Avons.
Thanks to many on this site that helped my through long "looking for the right car" process and all the Q&A's I had along the way.
If the rain could just stop for a few days, thats all i'm asking for.
