Chris, I submitted my registration for it today. I understand it could take a while to be processed.

Hi Dan,
Gorgeous color combo. Does yours have the 3M protective film on the nose? If not, I might suggest it with the darker color.
The 17's look great. I had 15's - 255/275 and went to 17's - 275/335 and love it. Much better handling and traction.
Enjoy!

Madmiles, I currently do not have the 3m clear armor but that is something I will look into. I have it on my other cars and it does work great.
Do you know if the clear armor installers already have templates for the SPF Cobras?

Thanks for the compliments on the car. I can't seem to stop smiling sense I purchased it yesterday. I can't imaging what it will be like when the rain stops and I can start driving it.

Is it difficult to switch back and forth between 15's and 17's or does it require adjustments to the shocks everytime?

Depends how your car is set up, but I wouldn't think shock adjustment is needed. The sidewalls on the 17's don't have the flex like 15's. However 15's ride is a little better.

And the best part is you don't have to wait for summer to enjoy it. Good choice, enjoy.

Dan
It's a pretty easy swap. You'll have to modify and reuse one part of the existing mount, which is a 10 minute job with a hacksaw. The Olthoff mounts come with instructions on how to do this. Also, in my case (also a 418W) the engine height was not changed appreciably. But be sure to check for clearance at the air cleaner and coolant tank before you button down the hood. The only undesirable part of these poly mounts is that I now have to loosen them and swing them back a bit in order to remove the oil pan. With the original $16 made in India mounts, there was no interference with the pan. For me, it's a small inconvenience relative to the benefits of the poly mounts. Good luck.

Congratulations on a great looking car. The looking and researching is a lot of fun, but now the real fun starts. It looks like it's going to be good weather for several days now....enjoy! I still smile everytime I even go into the garage.

Tony,
when and where are they? (I'm looking forward to it.)

I have a small clutch fluid leak that I'm trying to get taken car of this week. I'm bringing it by Top Of The Hill today to have them look at it.

Dan - Is the plastic clutch reservoir that is attached to the firewall leaking or is it the clutch slave?

Randy, thanks for the info on the breakfast. If Top of the Hill finishes by Friday I will be there.

Doug, there is a connection near the clutch slave where a solid line and braided line join. That is where is it appears to be leaking.

Dan- Congrats on the car purchase! I'm glad everything worked out for you. Now it's time to enjoy!

I have the full 3M nose guard on my Indigo Blue car and it has been a blessing. Mine was done by Invinca Shield in NC (car was purchased through Olthoff's). They have everythng pre-cut for Cobra's already. However, I don't know if I would recommend doing it yourself - looks like a pain in the a$$!
Their number is: 888-339-1385, in case you're interested. But perhaps there is someone closer to you that offers it and knows how to install it.

-Good luck!

You're welcome. Please know that Cobra possession is not a requirement to attend breakfast. This past Saturday only 3 or 4 drove their Cobras to breakfast, yet we have 30+ at breakfast. Of course, showing off one's new toy is always fun...

When you see Craig again, please tell him that I say HI. He put my SPF together many years ago...

Regards,
Randy...

I've got the mounts, but only like 500 miles on em between getting the motor back from Roush, getting a carb that actually works and now rain and cold I can't really comment, except that it doesnt ride any hasher than with the stock mounts, so that shouldnt be a concern at all.
