Default non superformance radiator

Has anyone ever replaced their radiator in a superformance with a non original one? And if so who made it?

Why would you want to?It's a BMW radiator. Why attempt to re-engineer one of the best SPF features?

You can replace it with any aftermarket one you want, just measure and order. The radiator is not SPF specific.

I have owned 2 spf's. The radiator is made at the factory and cost 1200 dollars. I'm looking for someone who has replaced one with something else.

Ed - You may have mentioned this on another thread, but are you (or someone else) re-building 995? Is that was the radiator is need for?

That appears to be a Fluidyne Shelby Spec Radiator?

Rick,

Yes, it is a Fluidyne inside of a CCX. Takes some work but the results are worth it. Should be similar install on a SPF.?????

Not even close. The SPF set-up has the radiator almost vertical in the nose and sealed. This is one of the reason you hardly ever see a SPF with a over-heating issue.
