Default Superformance door hing pad

Logging on some great mile on my SPF, what a machine. I decided to detail the interior and noticed there is a pad on the drive side door hing that protects the driver when getting in or out of the car. I did not notice one on the passenger is there supposed to be one on the passenger side?

Got my car cover from dynamic, Thanks Shane, your customer service continually impresses me!!! I told the wife to take the sheets off the bed because I am going to turn the cover inside out and sleep on it, her reply was, makes sense the car is your mistress anyways. LOL!! The sad thing is I have not put it the car because the car is too dirty with dust!!!! I am torn should I wash or drive, well driving always wins out!!

The pad is for tall drivers. The leg or knee hits the hinge when the door is closed, so the leather covered pad is a welcome addition.

I bought mine from the SecondStrike store. It probably was added by Dynamic.

You can always buy another and add it to the passenger side.

I doubt very much that the pad is now standard construction from Superformance.

My car is 2613. It has a pad on the driver's side (I think this was a later add), but not on the passenger side. Tell your passengers to keep their knees in the car!

SPF 2743 came with one on the drivers side. Anyone know where to get another for the passenger side?

Thanks guys!!!! I have to admit it is nice to post silly questions rather than serious ones like I cannot get the engine started. LOL. I will not hammer dyanamic then, one was installed on the driver and that is all anyone else got. Have to say though to maintain my reputation as a pessimist that for a $$$$$$ car they could have installed one on the passenger side LOL.

Detailed the car not one rock chip!!!!! absolutely incredible but I stay way back and drive early in the moring. Paint is absolutely stunning, when I picked it up it had some dust on it not anymore. I would guess it would cost $10K to paint a car like this. Put the car cover on and plan on waxing tomorrow.

Incredible no water in the trunk after I washed it, my last on I would put a big drip pan in the trunk so it would catch the 8oz of water. I have to admit it is a pain trying to keep the water out of the car when washing.

A month later and I am still beside myself.

madmaxx

Take one inch wide masking tape and fasten about one-quarter inch along the inside edge of the cockpit. The remainder sticks straight up, providing a 'dam' to catch the water. Since you remove the tape within a few minutes the finish will not be affected.

Mine is a 2002 build and it did not have any knee pad.

No rock chips? Have you installed the clear 3M shield around the nose and rear fender flares? If not, you will have chips.

Washing - get a big towel and hold it along the edge when rinsing. Or do as many owners do - do NOT wash it - just use a detail spray and microfiber cloths. Thats what I do. I only WASH the tires and rims.

Try Groits Speed Shine. Spray it on and wipe it off. Takes the bugs and dirt right off. Use micro fiber cloths..............
My car has never been washed. My last spf wasn't washed the whole time I had it.....
