Wow, your engine is a thing of beauty! I look forwarding to seeing the dyno results.

However, I thought Pops was building your engine for you?

Eric,

That wasn't me but this is me.....I think that is Dan at it again...lol

Are you sure that's not a Chevy they sent you pictures of, sure looks like the distributor is going in the back like it
really should.

The roof is a done deal and looks great and I'd do it again
given a second chance..

McVette The real one and not a replica !!!

Bill, send me a PM please.

Below is a better picture of the intake. You are seeing the vent/oil fill opening in the back of the motor, and from the angles I have you can't see the distributor hole as the water inlet is blocking it.

Post numbers ASAP. Inquiring minds want to know. Also, what are the specs of the cam? Have those been published already in this thread?

You (and I) will have to wait a week.

I am waiting as there is an "expert" on the tunes for the DynaTek systems going to KCM next week, and if I wait I can meet him and see my engine dyno then. I thought that might be helpful in the future (you know, to hang with the right people...)

I've been waitng 4 years for this, 1 week more is not a big deal.

Plus you have to give me until the Saturday after the friday as Hollywood AR is around 6 hours from Me Casa.

Default It's Alive!!!!

Well, I traveled to Arkadelphia Arkansas yesterday, spent the night, and left early to get to Hollywood AR to see my 496 FE get dyno’d at Keith Craft’s place. I was not disapointed! After a few pulls to get the timing and mixture adjusted, we tanked up with 105 and made a few pulls.

First, the walk around after warm-up

It should be noted that after warm-ups and a few pulls the DynaTek injectors were cool to the touch. Cooler than the room temp. It’s crazy.

One of the first runs

2nd best run

666 ft lbs, and 634 hp !!!!
YEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAA!!!

We had one other pull that was 667 tq, and 630 something hp. I’ll post the sheets tomorrow.

We put on the black booties, and dropped about 40/40, and the tune was then too rich. My guess is I will be going with the small K&N filters, or the tea strainer screens.

Hats off to everyone at KC, they really took care of me and my motor!

Now it makes the trip to Plano, I hope Michael and Gary are ready!

E

Dude, that was AWSOME. Congrats indeed! Very impressive numbers - the TQ is just incredible. DynaTek should use your engine in a commercial!

Mr Brown it was good to meet you today. I wanted to visit with you a little more but the phone seems to get me tied up some times. When I got of the phone your wife and you had left.
I just wanted to thank you for the business and I look forward to working with Rob and the guys to get the car running great after the install. Should make a very nice drivable car when done. Look forward to seeing you again in Plano at the car show if you get to make it.

E, Nice looking motor & impressive numbers. I think there's a set of rear tires that are in for a short hard life!

Default More data!

Terry, Thanks! Yeah I bet there are a few smiling faces at DynaTek. I believe this proves their claims of more hp and tq with their system. The distance that the air travels and location of the injector seems to be key.

Keith, Sorry I could not stay, but we had to get down the road. I would have to agree that the DynaTek system could take a bigger cam and make even bigger numbers, but as built this motor starts up with the flick of the switch, and will be very drivable! You and your crew really took care of me, and as you can hear got rather excited by the numbers that motor pulled!

Bill, this thing is a BEAST!!! RRRRRRRRAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!! The vids do not do it justice, it is a monster after 4000 rpm and full throttle!

Mick, Thanks for the kind words. Did you feel the "FE Force" yesterday???
