Default Power Brakes

He any of you removed your vacuum power brake booster and master cylinder and replaced them with dual master cylinders w/balance bar? I was looking for any parts information you may have.

Thanks,

Kenm 2560

Ken,

Funny you should post about this. I am in the middle of this mod and was just talking to Dean about it yesterday (Monday)

I was able to mount 12.720X1.25 rotors and Wilwood SL6R calipers inside my 15" Trigos.
Also I removed the power booster-M/C and built a sheet stainless box to mount a Wilwood 60deg M/C assembly with a balance bar and remote reservoirs. I’m still working but it should be done in a week or so. I’ll take some pics and post them shortly.

Jason,

Not to rob the thread, but I bought the Wilwood 12.120x1.25 rotors from Dynamic as a left over stock item. It came with the hats and hubs for a Pinto, which I'm guessing goes on our early style Ford Granada spindles. What else is needed in doing the big brake upgrade? i.e. bearings, bolts, etc. I also noticed you have the SL6R's.

I do have 15" wheels on my car.

Hey Ron,

I was actually gonna do a thread about this but since Ken asked the question we will stay here for know.
I you have rotors, hats and hubs

I think you should need:
rotor bolt kits (2)
bearings (2 inner and 2 outer)
grease seals inner(2)
caliper brackets (2)
caliper bracket bolts (4)
calipers (2)
caliper bolts (4)
pads
lines and fittings (-3)
possibly spacers behind your hat. depending on your hub.

Muy Bueno! My rotors for now are unslotted. I don't know if they'll stay that way though. Who did you order your kit from?
