Dumb luck...My SPF seen on National TV!
Some folks in the Cobra community noted a shiny red Cobra driving into Cars & Coffee during a recent episode of Discovery Channel HD's "Chasing Classic Cars." And they told me, "Dean, it looks like you." followed by "Dean, it IS you!" 
Since I don't get this particular program on my satellite package, a fellow SPF owner all the way back in Michigan ("Wayne") was kind enough to tape the episode and send a copy to me. What a great guy!
If you watch this show, it's in the "Porsche" episode where the host goes to So Cal to buy an early 1965 911. I think I got all of about 5-6 seconds of air time as I'm driving up to the weekly gathering in Irvine. But, hey, now I can say "As seen on national TV!" I was just surprised that the producers of the show thought enough about my car representing what shows up each weekend that they included that little clip.

It's pretty damn cool that you were caught on camera and also that Wayne was good enough to send you the tape. 
Send me a PM if the tape isn't HD. My DVR autorecords that program in HD, and if the episode hasn't autodeleted, I'll burn and send you a DVD. I haven't been home since Thanksgiving, but will be back this weekend and will check to see if it's still there.

Vanoochka, Wayne sent me a DVD copy so all is good. Thanks for offering though!
The Ferrari received far more air time...I need to let my car go, build up lots of patina and scribble "wash me" across the hood/bonnet and maybe someday it will be featured rather than just used as filler material.

I don't think I have the right tools to do this on my laptop. Will research more...I can handle photos like no tomorrow...video is different to me. |

FWIW, the exact time stamp is right around the 12th minute. And it's only five seconds so don't be thinking about going back to the kitchen to re-fill the bowl with chips or you'll miss it. |

Awesome Dean! If you have Windows XP you should have Windows Movie Maker (I think). If you do you have all the tools to cut and make a video uploadable to You Tube. |
