Default SPF at Homestead in-car vid during track day

This car rocks...lapping Homestead in the 1:41 to 1:46 range on a set of 17 inch Trigo wheels with 275/45 and 315/35 Nitto NT01's Can't say enough about the tires...they let go easy, no surprises, very predictable.

With the Roush 427R and everything else as SPF shipped it, this is a LOT of car....I'm still tingling...

I did the Mercedes AMG school there in September, a very fun track. Coming down off the oval was always a little hairy at speed.

Turn 10 at Homestead is the narliest turn on the track. As you come off that banking the car gets upset at the transition. Our HPDE group instructor suggested turning in before the 2-cone because the later you wait the more severe the transition.

Turns 1 thru 5 I thing are the most fun.

That was soooo much fun, I'm surprised it's still legal. With all that torque, hp and rubber I was wearing, I happened to be the quick car that session - but I've been chased down by well driven Miatas at Sebring...argh...

Cool stuff! Must feel good being in a group that you can set up for lapping at the right points on the track.

The NASA guys really pound that into everyone in HPDE3...passing in straights only, point-bys optional but highly recommended..so you sometimes get them - all in all, those were a pretty well behaved bunch, everyone seemed to have really good awareness - no drama...other than what was going on inside my cockpit

Looks like fun From the way you were sawing at that wheel, i'm gonna guess no power steering and a serious upper body workout...
I cant wait.

You guys guessed right, no power steering, and I hate to say it, lousy brakes. I just ordered a big brake kit from olthoff - bigger rotors, calipers, thicker pads, front and rear. I can't wait....

The upper body thing is not sooo bad, but you can definately feel something happened the next day in your shoulders mostly.
