Oil Dye

Hi all,

I need to find the source of an oil leak. What is the brand name of "oil dye" that I've read about. Does anyone know where I can buy some (preferably, but not necessarily, in Canada)?

Any auto parts store will have it, along with a little UV flashlight as well -- there's a bunch of generic brands. Here's a shot of the stuff I used:

It has a variety of names, from a variety of makers. I got some at NAPA last time. It shouldn't be that hard to find.

I used the one from Napa - PN 765-2661. Works great and is cheap.

you can use a generic black light bulb-/- party light bulb in your trouble light to ascertain the leak post dye.

-- do not forget to turn on the Jimi-Hendrix when you do this.
