Default Ebay nose bra for SPF

Anyone see or own the black bra for sale on ebay for Superformances. It looks pretty good, I wonder if it would damage the paint. Cost is reasonable at $300.

All bra's will damage paint over time.

I have also found that the paint on my SPF (#532) is soft, so I would never use one.

I personally don't like the look (damn the torpedoes and the heck with a paint chip or three). But having picked up some recent SCOF chatter, they fit like a glove which is nice to hear. I suppose if I were to go on some crazy long haul tour in bug country I'd probably reconsider for that only.

What John said. All bra's will damage the paint. Had one on a diesel motor home once and finally took it off and used the 3m film product.

I agree that all bras damage the paint if left on over time or not secured well. But, having a love for black cars, they are very good on long rides to stop all the rock chips and bug splatters. I've applied about 6 coats of good wax on my front end and had a lot of luck with no damage from using the bra. Just make sure both the car and the underside of the bra is very clean and it's put on tight.

I also take them off after I get where I'm going so the paint doesn't fade differently. I like the 3m products also, but it doesn't stop the bigger rock chips like a traditional bra.

Reading my post, I wonder if my wife would be offended?

Thanks for the feedback. I loathe, hate rock chips which deter many road chips. I like the 3M but like the look of no 3M better when showing. Since my car lives in my garage on a 4 post lift 98% of the times, fading should not be a concern. I can validate the clear coat on spf is very very very soft compared to others. I accidinetally bumped the trunk like with the garage door and it went to the base coat. After 4 hours over two days i touched the clear and blended it. I have to admit it is flawless but during the process I was amazed at how much harder the new clear was as compared to the existing.
